Triumph Daytona participates in the JK Tyre Racing Championship 2015

Triumph Motorcycles’ Daytona 675 and Daytona 675R SuperSports Motorcycles were seen in the 600+ category race for two wheelers at the JK Tyre Racing Championship 2015. The event took place at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida between 16 – 18 October, 2015.

This is the first time that Triumph Motorcycles has participated in the championship in the two-wheeler segment and all the participants sported their action packed Daytonas. The top three winners in the 600 cc category were Vijay Singh, Gurvinder Singh and Archit Kumar.

The new Daytona 675 and the 675R inspired confidence with more power, lighter weight, and its easier to ride characteristics. The aim behind developing the Triumph Daytona was to have a motorcycle that is an equal blend of torque, responsiveness, agility, poise and purpose.

The Daytona is powered by a 3-cylinder liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC, in-line 675cc engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is brand new featuring twin injectors per cylinder, titanium valves, a 14,400 red line, and a spine tingling induction roar.

Both front and rear KYB suspension are fully adjustable and come with low- and high-speed compression damping adjustment. The 675cc supersports gets lighter wheels that make it easier to turn in at corners. Adding to the list of features are Brembo brakes, a quickshifter, and carbon trim.

The JK Tyre Racing Championship (JKTRC) is one of India’s premier racing championship for the drivers aiming at Formula Car Racing. The Championship which was launched in 1997 by JK Tyre & Industries has now become the revered launch pad for the budding motorsport talents in the country.
