Borrowing looks from its elder sibling, the Honda CBR500R, the all new CBR400R, a full-cowl sports bike from the Japanese manufacturer was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show 2015. Honda claims that the CBR400R will allow the rider to enjoy a wide range of experiences, from city cruising to sporty riding.

The CBR400R rides on a 400cc parallel twin DOHC 4-valve motor coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission.  The twin cylinder engine will put forth an output of around 45 bhp and 37 Nm of torque. The CBR400R is painted in a CBR650F like colour scheme and has an aggressive design and dynamics. The LED dual headlights, a LED tail lamp, and a larger fuel tank complete the sharp looks of the bike.

As presented in the Tokyo Motor Show 2015, the CBR400R took a stance – equipped with accessories and customized parts. The addition of Bridgestone Sportmax tyres and the exhaust notes from the Moriwaki accentuate the sporty feel over cruising, which will be slightly different from the stock version. The vehicle will be launched in the international markets soon, but no words on a launch in India.

The new Honda CBR400R is a snug-fit between their CBR250R and CBR500R. No doubts on the refinement or design, the CBR400R looks hard to break and has no current rivals in its segment. Perhaps it will be fun to see how it performs in competition with the Ninja 300 and the KTM 390!!

  1. I so wish this comes to India.. Generally Honda makes it a point to disappoint us one way or the other.. But this one surely would be an excellent product..
