The MY’23 Toyota Hilux is more affordable

Despite being an unpopular and underrated segment in India, the pickup truck category enjoys a huge fan base in North America with several popular offerings like the Dodge RAM, Ford F-series, Chevrolet Silverado, Colorado, and many more. Unfortunately, the Indian market only has two models available for sale, namely the Isuzu V-Cross and the Toyota Hilux. Now, Toyota has recently revised the prices of the Hilux, which was launched last year. With this price revision, Toyota aims for Hilux to reach out to a larger audience in India.

About the price Details of the updated Hilux

Last year, Toyota Hilux was launched in India and it gained an immense response that the bookings were temporarily at a halt. The base variant known as STD was earlier priced at 33.99 Lakhs. But with this update, the price of STD is slashed to 30.40 Lakhs Ex-showroom making it cheaper by 3.59 Lakhs being a part of the MY’23 update. However, the price of other variants has been hiked by up to 1.35 Lakhs. The High 4×4 MT is now priced at 37.15 Lakhs Ex-showroom and the High 4×4 AT is priced at 37.90 Lakhs Ex-showroom. The price revision has been done in order to make the Hilux affordable and cater to a wider audience keeping in mind the upcoming emission norms.

About Toyota Hilux

Toyota Hilux is one of the most robust and reliable pickup trucks in the world. The design of the Toyota Hilux is stunning with a massive road presence that matches its rugged character. The heavy chrome is studded on the grille providing it with a bold stance. On the rear is the bumper with chrome and LED taillights which looks good and matches the character of this pickup truck very well. On the inside, the Toyota Hilux gets a nicely laid out black theme interior with a clean-looking console without having too much of buttons. There are several silver accents on the interior which adds glam to the interior of the Hilux.

Features of Toyota Hilux

Features of Toyota Hilux Toyota hasn’t made any changes to the features list despite the price revision. For starters, the base STD trim doesn’t have some attractive features, unlike the High variant. The base misses out on LED headlamps, Leather upholstery, Auto AC, and Powered driver seat adjustment when compared with the High variant. However, the base variant has necessary features like Halogen headlamps, Fabric upholstery, Manual AC, and a manually adjustable driver seat. The STD still offers an 8-inch Touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay, Android Auto, Rear AC vents, Cruise Control, an 8-speaker music system, steering-mounted controls, etc. which isn’t a deal breaker at all.

Buyers can choose the transmission of their choice with a 4×4 drivetrain as standard enhancing the off-road capabilities of the pickup truck.
