Maruti Grand Vitara To Get All Grip AWD

After teasing the New SUV Maruti has already commenced pre-bookings of the new Grand Vitara. The car is supposed to launch on the 20th of July.  Customers can pre-book the Grand Vitara in the amount of  Rs 11,000. As per the teaser, Maruti has named the all-wheel drive variant of the Grand Vitara “All Grip”. Maruti uses this name for its all-wheel drive variants.

The Grand Vitara will have an all-wheel drivetrain option with 1.5-litre, mild-hybrid petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual ‘box. it will also have various modes for off-road and on-road. The first 1.5-liter mild-hybrid unit produces 101 hp and 136 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The other engine is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated Atkinson Cycle engine delivering 92 Hp and 122 Nm of torque. This engine comes paired with an electric motor that produces 79 hp and 141 Nm of torque resulting in a total power output of 115 hp. It comes mated to an e-drive transmission. This system is paired with a 177.6 V lithium-ion battery which will enable the Grand Vitara to run on an electric-only range of up to 25km. 

Sharing the same wheelbase as Hyryder, Suzuki cars abroad design of Vitara will provide it with a global identity. It will have LED headlights with LED DRLs, LED taillamps, and a healthy dose of cladding all around. Other design details include front and rear silver skid plates. Grand Vitara is a new breed of SUVs that has a bold SUV design with a strong stance and a muscular shoulder line.

The interior is expected to share a lot of parts with the newer Maruti cars. Extensive use of leather for the upholstery and inserts all around the cabin is expected. While other tech features will include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that gets Android Auto and Apple Carplay, Arkymys sound tuning and 55+ Suzuki Connect connected car features including remote vehicle ignition. The Vitara will also offer ventilated leather seats, a 7-inch MID,  push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, a heads-up display, a 360-degree parking camera, a panoramic sunroof, and an auto-dimming IRVM.
