MG is now selling the safety kit with the standard variant of Astor. Unlike the Astor in the Hector and Hector plus the EX, the variant will be limited to only sharp trims. Current prices of MG Hector range from Rs. 18.5 lakh to Rs 20.25 lakh for the top variant Hector Plus Sharp AT 6-seater. With the addition of the EX variant,  starting range of Hector is expected to be more reasonable. The deleted safety features might include electronic stability control (ESC), tractional control and hill hold control. The reason behind adding a new EX variant in the Astor and Hector trim can be a semiconductor shortage. However, standard variants of Hector should be available alongside the addition of EX, just like with the Astor.
