We already brought to our readers the spy images of the 2016 Triumph Speed Triple back in June this year. But what we have here is a set of detailed images of the motorcycle- thanks to Triumph’s French Dealer who has managed to leak the new 2016 Speed Triple R all over the web world.
The 2016 model might not look different to it’s predecessor retaining that traditional Speed Triple design with minimal changes to the body work. The changes are evident when you give a closer look and it all starts with the twin bug eye headlights. Though they aren’t any gorgeous to look at, but now look more proportionally pleasant to the eye than the current variant and somewhat reminds us of Hancock staring at you with his goggles on. The side cowlings are made to look a wee bit more aerodynamic, the single seat is now split and the underseat arrow exhausts protrude beyond the skinny tail section.
The biggest change however is to the three cylinder motor has been worked upon to comply with the stringent Euro 4 emission norms, but on the other hand speculated to crank out a 140 horses. Also the new Speed Triple R would possibly feature the electronic “fly-by-wire” throttle and multi-mode traction control that would make this hooligan an even more pleasurable motorcycle to ride.
Other motorcycles from the Triumph stable have already been revealed and maybe it’s just a matter of few hours or a day when the 2016 Triumph Speed Triple R would make its official public appearance.
