The 2016 Auto Expo will witness the unveiling of 80 new vehicles

The 13th edition of the Auto Expo, jointly organized by ACMA, CII, and SIAM, accredited by OICA will be held between 5th and 9th February, 2016 at the India Expo mart, Greater Noida. The Auto Component show, on the other hand; will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 4th to 7th February.

The Motor Show’s floor area has increased to a total size of 73,000 square metres from the previous edition of 69,000 square metres. The venue has been constructed in the form of six halls with an increased carpet area of 37,240 square metres. The venue previously had only 8 halls measuring 27,648 square metres, and as a result in the 2014 edition the remaining displays were curated in temporary hangers measuring 32,400 square metres.

Vinod Dasari, President, SIAM, said that the Auto Expo has conventionally been one of the most sought after platforms for the automobile industry.  He further went on to add that the expo provides the needed push to the industry in totality and ensures that the participating brands get noticed at a global level.

Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General CII, elaborated that Auto Expo has seen a tenfold growth from 152 exhibitors to 1580 exhibitors in 2016 over a period of 30 years. He further observed that Auto Expo 2016 would witness unveiling of 80 new vehicles.

The Auto Expo – The Component show 2016 will see participation from 1,500 companies including 50 new entrants out of which 900 are Indian companies and 600 are international exhibitors. Seven international pavilions from China, Canada, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and the U.K. will display a number of components at the Expo.
