Tata Motors officially launched its latest compact sedan, the Zest at an event in Mumbai on August 12. This sub four-meter sedan comes at a price tag of Rs 4.64 lakh for the base petrol variant and Rs 5.64 lakh for the base diesel variant.

The company commenced online bookings of the Zest last month and has high hopes to sell a considerable number of units of this vehicle. The company today announced that it will release the total number of bookings of the Zest in two days. Ranjit Yadav, President Passenger Vehicle, Tata Motors said, “Booking numbers will be disclosed in two days.”
The Tata Zest is a sub four meter compact sedan which is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron engine that churns 90 PS of power and 140Nm of torque. The diesel engine on the other hand is a 1.3-litre Quadrajet unit which comes in two power variants – 75PS of power with 190NM of torque and 90PS of power and 200Nm of torque. The car will compete against other compact sedans like Honda Zmaze, Hyundai Xcent, and Maruti Dzire.
