Tata Winger Platinum introduced

Tata Motors today introduced a new variant of the Winger in the form of the Tata Winger Platinum in Guwahat, Assam. The Winger Platinum is a 7 seater passenger carrier, with loads of space inside.

The Winger Platinum has been designed and developed keeping in mind the needs of people who look for the convenience of a carrier but have to make do with utility vehicles. With the Winger, tata Motors have managed to liberate a laudable amount of space without having to alter the exterior. There are seven separate captain’s seats in the vehicle, allowing decent space even for the last row passengers.

Features include adjustable head rests, soft wide adjustable armrests, good legroom, individual AC vents and wide luggage space. Then you have collapsible grab handles, a side foot step for easy entry, coat hooks and two mobile chargers. In addition, a 2-Din music system with 4 in-built speakers and provision for LCD for keeping the passengers entertained during long journeys.

The engine is mounted to a sub-frame for added strength, there are anti-roll bars both at the front and at the rear, and every passenger gets retractable seat belts and child safety lock. The driver’s seat is 3-way adjustable. Power steering along with a small turning radius of 5.65 metres makes for better maneuverability. The Winger Platinum also has motorised headlamps, fog lamps and a demisting unit.

Under the bonnet the Winger has a proven 2-litre turbo charged inter cooled diesel engine producing a peak power of 90 hp @ 4300 rpm and a peak torque of 190Nm @ 190 Nm @ 2000~3000 RPM. It’s a capable unit, which can transport people not only within the city but on long distance inter-city trips as well.

The Tata Winger Platinum comes in two colour options – Pearl White and Cycus Grey. It is backed with a 1.5 lakh km / 18-month warranty and is available at a price of Rs. 6.94 lakhs (ex-showroom, Guwahati).
