Since its arrival last year, the new Tata Sierra has attracted a lot of attention after Tata brought back the legendary nameplate in a modern SUV. Now, Tata Motors has added a new set of variants to the range. Called the Legend Series, these versions bring more comfort and convenience features to different price points.
The Tata Sierra Legend Series starts at Rs 11.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom. There are five new trims in the range, namely Smart+ L, Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L and Adventure+ L. These variants are offered with petrol and diesel engines, along with manual and automatic gearbox choices.
More Features From The Lower Variants
The new versions give buyers access to features that were earlier available higher up in the Sierra range. The Smart+ L is the entry point and costs Rs 11.99 lakh.
It gets several useful additions over the standard Smart+ trim:
- Leatherette seats and interior trim
- Steering-mounted controls
- Auto-folding ORVMs
- Passive entry and passive start
- Roof rails
- Bi-LED projector headlamps
The Pure L is priced at Rs 13.79 lakh for the petrol manual. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels, leatherette interiors and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The system also supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. An eight-speaker audio system, cruise control and TPMS are also part of the package.
The Pure L (O) costs Rs 14.29 lakh with the petrol manual gearbox. Its main addition is the panoramic sunroof with voice assistance. Automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers are also added.
Pure+ L Brings Extra Cabin Comfort
Priced from Rs 14.99 lakh, the Pure+ L adds several features that can make daily driving more comfortable.

- Dual rear 65W USB-C chargers

The Pure+ L also introduces the 1.5-litre Hyperion turbo-petrol automatic option to the Legend Series.
At the top of the new range is the Adventure+ L. It starts at Rs 16.99 lakh with the petrol manual and is available with several engine and gearbox combinations.
This variant gets a larger equipment list, including:

- Superglide Suspension with FDD
- Front parking sensors
- Dual-screen setup
- Two-stage reclining rear seat
- Ambient lighting
- Wireless charging
- Cooled glovebox
The Adventure+ L also gets a 31.24 cm touchscreen infotainment system and a 26.03 cm digital cockpit with navigation.
Engine And Safety Options
The Sierra Legend Series uses the same three 1.5-litre engine families offered in the wider Sierra range. These include the Revotron petrol, Hyperion turbo-petrol and Kryojet diesel engines.
Transmission choices include manual and automatic options, depending on the variant. Tata also offers six airbags, ESP with more than 20 functions and all-wheel disc brakes across the Sierra range. The SUV is built on a 5-star Bharat NCAP-rated body structure.
With the Legend Series, Tata has added more steps between its existing variants. This gives Sierra buyers more equipment choices without having to move directly to a much higher trim.
