For those who have just returned from Pluto and are wondering what this Tata exactly is, we would like to inform that Tata Pixel is a car that is somewhat similar to Nano in dimensions but has a lot of advanced technological features going for it. The news is that this car will be showcased at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo. The cutesy little car is a tad over three meters in lengths and if Tata is to be believed, the Pixel is “the most package efficient four-seater in the world,” and can “comfortably accommodate four adults”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A 1.2 litre 3 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine powers the car and in Nano fashion, the car boasts of a Rear mounted engine driving Rear wheels (RR) layout. The car’s styling has played a vital role in giving the Pixal a coefficient of aerodynamic drag.  The car also features Stop-Start technology and low resistant tires.

One of the most interesting  features of the Pixel is the Zero Turn System that enables the diminutive car to deal with congestion on streets and tight parking spaces. An Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT) results to rotation of the outer rear wheel forwards and the inner rear wheel backwards during aforementioned maneuvering. The result? Et Voila! An unbelievable turning circle radius of merely 2.6 meters!! Talking about dealing with parking space issues, Pixel has doors that open vertically.
