Tata Nano makes a comeback in December with strong sales numbers

Tata Nano

Tata Nano, which sold a disappointing 509 units in the month of November, has bounced back with strong sales for the month of December. Tata Motors sold more than 5,700 units of the car in December, making an exceptionally smart recovery for the sales of the small car. The company took some really quick and drastic measures to stem the dwindling demand for the car. Some of these measures included introducing a staggering 4 years / 60,000 km warranty, a comprehensive maintenance contract for Rs 99 / month, additional safety in the form of a coating for the catalytic converter and addition of a fuse to the electrical system. Tata Motors is also providing up to 90 percent loan at easy terms and low interest rates to infuse some life back into the sales of the car.

One can expect the sales of the car to go further up in the coming months as Tata Motors have announced open sales of the Tata Nano in all the cities of India. Till now available only in 12 states, the car will now be available at the company’s 874 sales outlets across India India. Customers who were willing to buy the Nano, but couldn’t as the car was not available, can now drive home the world’s cheapest car.
