Tata Motors Zest

Tata Motors is organizing a pre-Auto Expo press conference in New Delhi. The company will preview its future cars and technologies at the exclusive press event. The cars and technologies unveiled at the press con will later be exhibited at the 2014 Auto Expo as well. While nothing specific has been said about the products and tech to be showcased, the invite clearly suggests that it will be a multi-product, multi new tech event. We are looking at the unveiling of the Zest (codename Falcon 5) compact sedan, the Bolt hatchback (codename Falcon 4) and the Nexon (earlier rumored as JUMP) compact SUV that we reported about a couple of days back. Tata Motors Zest / Bolt / Nexon should help tata Motors expand its product portfolio in the mainstream segment, which, of late has started looking stagnant. As always, we at Motoroids are covering the event live, and will update with information about the new products with relevant images and tech specs as soon as the event goes underway at 11:30 AM

“Think of our next gen cars as time machine. Next Stop: Future” says the official invite. We expect Tata to exhibit their new Revotron range of turbocharged petrol engines in more detail, along with their new AMT (Automated Manual Transmission Technology) Ala Maruti Suzuki Celerio. The new transmission tech is expected to bring down the costs of such systems and make the convenience of automatic transmission available to the cost conscious buyers.
