Following Tata Motors announcing its foray into Vietnam last year, the company along with its domestic partner TMT Motors of Vietnam, today announced the launch of its first product in the country – the Tata SuperAce mini-truck. The Tata SuperAce is currently available across 7 sales points in Northern Vietnam and will soon be available across the country. With over 9 service touch points in the Northern Vietnam, Tata Motors’ authorized partner, TMT Motors will offer an assured warranty of 3 years / 100,000km (whichever is earlier).

The Tata SuperAce has a rated payload of 1 tonne for market loads like cement, construction items, food grains, vegetables, fruits, FMCG and white goods transportation. As the only diesel powered mini-truck in its segment, the Tata SuperAce is also offered with a petrol powered engine. The 4 cylinder 1405 cc diesel engine delivers 70 Hp @ 4500 rpm power, while the 1396 cc petrol engine delivers 85 Hp @ 5500 – 6000 rpm. Both engines come mated to a 5-speed gearbox, accounting for a fuel efficiency of 17.9 kmpl for diesel and 10.2 kmpl for petrol engine (under test conditions).
The SuperAce comes equipped with large brakes and 7-inch brake boosters coupled with LCRV (Load Conscious Regulating Valve). The SuperAce rides on a strut type independent suspension in front and leaf-spring suspensions at the back, coupled with hydraulic double acting telescopic suspension. The SuperAce has a top-speed of 130 kmph (petrol). Currently available in one trim for each of the fuel options, the Super Ace comes with air con, power steering, power windows and body colored bumper – Tata SuperAce Diesel DLE and Tata SuperAce Petrol GLE.

Inside, the SuperAce comes with an ergonomically located driver console, glove-box with lock, provision for music system, mobile charging facility, digital clock and full fabric seats. On the exterior, the SuperAce gets body colored bumpers, new front protective wheel arch eyebrows, and wide angle ORVM on both sides. The vehicle has a small turning circle radius of 5.1m, a 2.6m long cargo load 14inch tyres, and a ground clearance of 160mm and gradeability of 39% (for diesel).
