Tata Manza Club Class Launched @ INR 5.7 Lakhs

Manza has never been a hot seller for Tata Motors. Despite offering class leading space and being features-laden, the car has never really managed to capture the imagination of C Segment car buyers. Now, in a bid to attract prospective car buyers to Tata dealerships, Tata Motors has come up with a mid life facelift for the C segmenter.

Dubbed as the Manza Club Class, the refreshed car has been launched for a starting price of INR 5.7 lakhs (ex showroo, Delhi) for petrol variant and INR 6.49 lakhs (ex showroo, Delhi) for diesel variant.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Karl Slym, Managing Director of Tata Motors, said, “Customer centricity is the hallmark of Tata Motors. As desired by today’s Indian motorist, the Tata Manza Club Class delivers premiumness. With the Tata Manza Club Class, we are once again the first to introduce features never seen in its class.”

Mr. Ranjit Yadav, President of Tata Motors’ Passenger Car Business Unit, said, “With the Tata Manza Club Class, we offer an intelligent combination of style and pleasure of motoring with the traditional needs of space and comfort. The Club Class character of the car will be matched with club class consumer experiences. The elite owners of Tata Manza will have privileged access to services that go beyond the mere pleasures of motoring. The appeal of our offerings is enhanced with class leading features that increase driving comfort. We remain firmly committed to developing new products across our entire range and we will continue to set new benchmarks which are designed to meet the needs of the Indian car buyer.”

Mr. Neeraj Garg, Vice President, Passenger Car Business Unit (Commercial), Tata Motors, said, ” The Tata Manza Club Class presents ultimate luxury in the mid level sedans with best-in-class cabin space, fully automatic air conditioning, first-in-class touchscreen multi-media navigation and segment redefining exterior styling with Infinity Contrast Roof.”

The Tata Manza Club Class comes with a first-in-class touchscreen multi-media interface with in-built GPS and Automatic Climate Control. The touchscreen brings GPS navigation, multi-media DVD player, Blu5 and other such functionalities all through a multi-colour 6.2 inch high resolution display at the touch of a finger.

Rich Italian leather upholstery enhances the luxurious ambience of the Tata Manza Club Class’ best-in-class cabin space. The interiors have been tastefully adorned in Black and Plum.

A new Infinity Contrast Roof and new 8 split-spoke alloys add further class to the exteriors. These new additions have been further embellished in chrome, endowing the Tata Manza Club Class with a character which makes it stand apart.

The Tata Manza Club Class is powered by the popular 90 PS Quadrajet diesel and 90 PS Safire petrol engine. The Quadrajet diesel is certified to give a mileage of 21.02 kmpl, while the Safire Petrol is certified for a mileage of 13.7 kmpl.

The safety features include a collapsible steering column, anti-lock braking system and dual frontal airbags amongst others. Instead of the usual red line on the tachometer, the Critical Rev Indicator needle turns red when the engine crosses a critical RPM. The engine immobilizer and the central locking feature are conveniences for additional security.

The Tata Manza is being offered in a new fully loaded variant (EXL)  and the existing variants have been renamed- LS (earlier Aqua), LX (earlier Aura), VX (earlier Aura ABS) and EX (earlier Elan).
