Tata Altroz Facelift: A Sneak Peek

The anticipation is high as the Tata Altroz, the beloved premium hatchback, is gearing up for a facelift in 2024 was recently spied during emission testing

Exterior Upgrades

As glimpsed from the spy shots, the 2024 Altroz retains its familiar silhouette, suggesting that Tata is opting for evolutionary rather than revolutionary changes.

While heavy camouflage veils most details, the alloy wheels appear reminiscent of the existing 16-inch units found on the current range-topping versions. Expect minimal alterations to the exterior, with subtle incorporations from Tata’s latest SUV lineup.

Interior Elegance

The interior of the 2024 Altroz promises more significant transformations, particularly in the features department. Spy shots reveal a centrally mounted, larger infotainment touchscreen, likely a 10.25-inch unit akin to the one adorning the new Nexon and Punch EV.

Drawing inspiration from the Altroz Racer concept, expect additions such as a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, six airbags, wireless charging, and an air purifier, enhancing the overall driving experience.

Powering Performance

While the Altroz Racer’s robust 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine remains uncertain for the facelift, the 2024 Altroz is anticipated to maintain its current powertrains.

This includes the 88hp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and the 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. Additionally, a CNG variant, featuring Tata’s twin-cylinder technology, is expected to be available with the 88hp engine.

Transmission Choices

The naturally aspirated engine is likely to retain both the 5-speed manual and the 6-speed dual-clutch automatic options. Meanwhile, the turbo-petrol variant may stick to the 5-speed manual gearbox, with the possibility of a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic option being tested. However, official confirmation on this aspect remains pending.
