We have been regular with reporting about the upcoming 2014 Audi A8 facelift, which has been spotted testing in Europe on numerous occasions. The A8 facelift has now been spotted testing in India! The upcoming car was recently caught testing in Mumbai by Teambhp-ian Dhananjay Gupta.
The test mule that was spotted wore lot of camouflage. However, the much discussed Matrix LED headlights of the A8 facelift can be clearly seen in these pics. The most commendable bit about these headlights is that the high beam can be used continuously without blinding the drivers of oncoming vehicles. This is because the projectors are connected to a camera, which detects the line of vision of the oncoming car’s driver and switches off the diodes that fall in the line. However, the remaining part continues to remain on high beam. Clever, ain’t it?
Other than the new headlights, which boast of cutting edge technology, the A8 facelift will also get a set of revised taillights. The car also gets new bumpers. On the inside, the car is expected to get an updated MMI system, along with an upholstery change and some additional equipment.
As for the engines that would be offered, the 3.0 liter TDI diesel and the 3.0 liter & the 4.0 liter TFSI petrol engines are likely to be carried over from the current car. So is be the gigantic W12 6.3 liter for the top of the line variants.
The car is expected to be officially unveiled at the upcoming 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, which starts on 10 September.
