Tata Motor’s is all set to introduce the hatchback version of its newly introduced compact sedan Zest, Bolt. We believe that most of the tests are already done and Tata is just marketing this upcoming hatchback through test mules. Why? Most of the recent spottings of the Bolt hatchback come with a camouflage that’s printed with “Bolt” throughout the body.

The latest citing has been reported by a reader of automotive website Indian Autos Blog who spotted the Bolt in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The images reveal a contrast dashboard that is likely to make way on the new Bolt. This new hatchback will also receive a steering mounted controls, Harman audio system with touchscreen and three different driving modes, just like the Zest compact sedan.

Tata Motors will offer the Bolt with two engine options – 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and 1.3-litre Multijet diesel. The petrol version will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron engine which produces 85 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque. The 1.3-litre Multijet diesel unit is a Fiat-sourced engine that makes 75 PS of power and 190 Nm of torque. The three driving modes would be Sport, City and Eco.

We expect to see the Bolt in showrooms very soon. What do you think of the Tata Bolt? Share your thoughts and opinions through comments below. Stay tuned to Motoroids for more updates from motoring industry.
