TVS Motors may introduce the new Dazz, at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi as a test mule of the 110cc scooter was spotted near the Company’s manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
The scooter is already sold in the Indonesian market where it is available in two variants – carburetted and fuel-injected. Unlike the 110cc scooter that are currently sold in the Indian market, the new Dazz comes equipped with a pair of 14-inch wheels alloy wheels which would come shod with tubeless tyres.
The motorcycle features lean styling and comes equipped with a telescopic suspension and a front disc brake. Stopping power to the rear wheel is provided by a drum unit. TVS Motor will also offer an optional USB charger with the new Dazz.
Mechanically, Dazz comes equipped with a 109.65-cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is tuned to deliver:
- 8.35 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.3 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm in the carburetted version
- 8.7 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.7 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm in the fuel-injected variant
The Dazz was showcased at the 2014 and the 2016 Auto Expo and we may hear some more official statement about the 110cc scooter at the 2018 iteration of the motoring event scheduled to take place in February.
