Solar-powered motorcycle sets new land speed record

“The Lightning Superbike”, the world’s fastest electric motorcycle has numerous international racing competition trophies to its credit. But this time being powered by a Solar mobile power unit that powered its 48 kilowatt-hour battery pack to shatter the previous land speed record of 170 mph clocking 189 mph i.e. 304 kph at the El Mirage Lake Bed in California. Living in part of the world where 40 kph on electric bikes/scoots is the top speed norm, this seems a space shuttle taking off to the orbit.

Now only if someone could make a subdued version of such a motorcycle that would run on Solar Energy and be practical for everyday use. Wishful thinking that, but we’re not giving up on hopes!!
