Skoda-VW Roll Out E20 Compliant Kushaq & Taigun

VW Group’s Skoda and Volkswagen India had participated in the Alternative Fuels-Based Vehicles Rally recently.

The rally was flagged off by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Bengaluru on February 6, 2023. The Alternative Fuels Based Vehicles Rally was held at the inauguration of India’s G20 Presidency flagship event – India Energy Week (IEW). This rally is a green initiative organized by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG).

The engines of the Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun are now compliant with E20 fuel. E20 is essentially 20% ethanol-blended petrol which helps in reducing the tailpipe emissions from an ICE vehicle. On the safety front, the SUV siblings have been accredited with a 5-star Global NCAP rating, making them the safest made-in-India cars.

The cars achieved the highest 5-star rating for both adult and child occupant protection.
