Skoda Superb V6 discontinued

Think high end D segment sedan and there are very good chances that you will think of it being a diesel. We are not surprised as we are equally perturbed by the rising petrol prices. Now, thanks to people shying away from high capacity fuel guzzling petrol motors, Skoda India has quietly withdrawn the V6 engined variant of the Superb D segment sedan. The outgoing variant had a 4X4 all wheel drive system mated to the powerful engine.

The Superb V6 has a 3.6 Liter, V6 petrol motor that pumps out a very healthy 260 Bhp-360 Nm. It is being said that the owners of Superb V6 used to extract merely 6-7 Kmpl of fuel economy. Now, after the discontinuation of the V6, the only petrol engine that Skoda India is offering on the Superb is the direct injection turbocharged 1.8 Liter TSI. This motor churns out some 160 Bhp-250 Nm figures. Talking about the Superb diesel, the oil burner equipped variant of the Czech car has a 140 Bhp 2 Liter TDI unit.
