Skoda launches Limited Editions of Kushaq and Slavia

Skoda has launched the new limited-edition variants of their popular models Kushaq and Slavia. These new editions are known as the Kushaq Lava Blue edition and the Slavia anniversary edition. Both the editions are only available with a 1.5L TSi engine and the range starts from Rs. 17.28 Lakhs Ex-showroom.

About Kushaq Lava Blue Edition

Skoda introduced the Lava Blue Edition for their compact SUV, the Kushaq. This variant is slated between Style and Monte Carlo variants. As the name suggests, this variant gets a new colour option known as Lava Blue. The Lava Blue colour is a popular option which was available in Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq. Apart from the colour option, this edition of Skoda Kushaq gets certain cosmetic tweaks.

Upfront, the Kushaq Lava Blue edition gets a hexagonal grille with chrome ribs and chrome garnish on claddings. The Lava Blue Edition is embossed on the B-Pillar of the compact SUV. And Skoda is also offering Plush Edition Cushion pillows with this variant. Based on the Style variant, the Lava Blue Edition is brimmed with all the bells and whistles for the user’s convenience.

Skoda Slavia Anniversary Edition

About Slavia Anniversary Edition

Skoda introduced Rapid’s successor last year known as Slavia. The sedan has gained an immense response from the market. As a result, Skoda has now launched the Anniversary Edition of the Slavia. Like the Kushaq Lava Blue Edition, this edition also features certain cosmetic tweaks. The Slavia Anniversary Edition also gets the popular Lava Blue colour option.

On the exteriors, the Anniversary Edition gets a hexagonal grille with chrome ribs and chrome garnish on the doors. Further accentuating the Anniversary Edition are the new anniversary edition foils, scuff plates and plush pillows. The steering wheel has also received the Anniversary Edition badge.

Powertrain Options

Both these editions are only available with a single engine option. Powering these variants is a 1.5L 4-cylinder TSi turbocharged petrol engine that generates an impressive 150ps of power and 250nm of torque. This engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DSG transmission.

Skoda has recently updated their powertrains to comply with the latest RDE BS6 phase-2 norms. Also, the updated powertrain supports E20 blended fuel enhancing the fuel efficiency by 5% in Slavia and 7% in Kushaq.

Pricing and Competition

The Skoda Kushaq Lava Blue Edition is retailed at an Ex-Showroom price of ₹17.99 Lakhs. Skoda Kushaq continues to compete against its rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor.

Meanwhile, the Skoda Slavia Anniversary Edition is priced at ₹17.27 Lakhs Ex-Showroom. Skoda Slavia continues to lock its horns with Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
