Simple Energy is entering a new part of the electric scooter market with the ‘Wave’. The Bengaluru based company has confirmed that its new family scooter will be launched on September 2, 2026. The name was earlier seen as Arrive during the testing stage, but the company has now officially confirmed Simple Wave.
The new scooter gives Simple Energy a product for daily family use. Until now, the company has mainly been known for its One range, which has a sportier design and stronger performance focus. The Simple Wave will have a more relaxed scooter layout with a large seat and a practical floorboard.

What the Simple Wave may offer
The test scooters seen earlier had a simple family scooter shape. A flat floorboard should make it easier to carry bags and use the scooter for regular city trips. The large seat also suggests that passenger comfort has received attention. Some expected equipment includes:

The Simple Wave could use a 3.7 kWh battery with a 6.4 kW peak motor. This setup is expected to offer a claimed range of around 190 km and a top speed of 90 kmph.
The chassis may be related to the Simple One, with changes made for the family scooter format. Suspension could include a telescopic setup at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear.
Rivals and launch
The Simple Wave will enter a busy segment with scooters such as the Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Hero Vida VX2 and Ola S1 range. Pricing will be important because Simple Energy wants a wider customer base with this model.
The company has also highlighted its engineering work. Simple Energy says it has developed its software and vehicle technology in house and is the first Indian OEM to commercially manufacture heavy rare earth free electric motors.
