The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has been a pocket rocket with its 68 PS 1 liter engine and a kerb weight of 760 kgs since it’s launch in 2010. The car was long due for an update and the engineers at Maruti Suzuki have already commenced readying the same. Here on this page, we have the first spy pics of the facelifted Alto K10.
As can be seen in the images, the facelifted car carries heavy design cues from the Celerio as well as the Alto 800. According to the source of these pics, one of the car seen here is equipped with a 5 speed manual transmission. Also, we have already reported about Maruti equipping the Alto K10 and the Wagon R with the Automated Manual Transmission. (CLICK HERE TO READ OUR EARLIER REPORT)
As can be seen in the pics, Maruti is giving the car a full makeover. The changes on the facelifted car include :
- Larger more stylish swept-back headlamps
- New engine grille with chrome outline on the top
- Redesigned front bumper including the airdam and fog lamp housing
- The car looks slightly taller than the current Alto K10
Also, since the car will be mated to the Automated Manual Transmission, the car will come in the same engine tune as that of the Celerio. The 998 cc 3 pot motor produces 68 PS of max power and 90 Nm of torque. It will also lead to increase in the fuel efficiency from 20.2 kmpl which the current car delivers. For the Celerio, the engine returns 23.1 kmpl with the manual and Automated Manual Transmission.
