Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar also has a great interest in fast cars. So his involvement in Smaaash’s new Sky Karting arena did not come as a surprise. Located at Smaaash, Kamala Mills, Lower Parel, this is India’s largest rooftop Go Karting arena. The Sky Karting arena is spread across 30,000 square feet and will offer karting fanatics and sports enthusiasts an opportunity to experience the thrill of go-karting in an open air, roof top setting.
Speaking at the inauguration event, Shripal Morakhia, Founder of Smaaash said, “Smaaash has evolved as the favourite leisure, gaming and entertainment destination for all age groups, and now we raise the bar with India’s largest roof top karting arena. Pushing the next level, in performance, innovation and entertainment, we will offer a chance to all to ‘Up Your Game’ at your favourite urban sports park, a 120,000square feet facility in the middle of the city.”

The track has been designed by former European and Italian Go-Karting Champion, Paolo Gagliardini. Gagliardini’s team of Italian specialists from PGK Design, Milano, were flown down to do a special resin treatment on the track, which ensures that both speed-freaks and safety-geeks can kart without the worry of the karts skidding-off or the tyres losing grip with the surface. In addition, constant monitoring of the circuit by professional go-karting experts and Marshalls, ensures the safety of the drivers at all times.
