Maruti Suzuki India Limited has successfully concluded the North Zone qualifying leg of the ‘ROCK N ROAD 4X4 Masters’ championship.

Launched in Delhi on January 27th and followed by Chandigarh on February 3rd, the ‘ROCK N ROAD 4X4 Masters’ is an enthralling off-roading championship tailored exclusively for budding off-roading enthusiasts who own JIMNY vehicles. This unique event aims to unite like-minded adventure enthusiasts, offering them a platform to test their JIMNY’s capabilities on challenging terrains while fostering a passion for off-roading and creating enduring memories.
In line with Maruti Suzuki’s pledge to deliver unforgettable product experiences, the ‘ROCK N’ ROAD 4X4 Masters’ aims to create a stage for off-roading enthusiasts and experts to exhibit their skills, competing against fellow JIMNY owners from across India. The championship is structured into two phases – qualifiers held across 8 cities, followed by a grand finale in Goa.
The recently concluded qualifying leg in the North witnessed a remarkable turnout in Delhi and Chandigarh. Reflecting on the completion of the North zone qualifying leg, Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering top-tier SUVs and cultivating a community of passionate drivers who crave adventure and exploration. He highlighted how the ‘ROCK N ROAD 4X4 Masters’ epitomizes Maruti Suzuki’s dedication to innovation, customer engagement, and providing exceptional experiences. The championship provides JIMNY owners with a platform to showcase their SUV’s capabilities in a competitive environment, demonstrating its 4X4 agility and adaptability.
Participants in the qualifiers compete in two categories – stock vehicles and modified vehicles. They are tasked with completing 8 challenges, or Special Stages (SS), over two days of the competition. These Special Stages are meticulously designed to assess participants’ off-road driving skills, vehicle familiarity, and physical abilities, while promoting awareness about safe off-roading practices.
A distinguished panel of supervisors from the Indian off-roading community judges the participants in the ‘ROCK N’ ROAD 4X4 Masters’ championship. Winners from each category of the qualifiers will advance to the grand finale scheduled for March 23, 2024, in Goa. Additionally, the top two winners will have the opportunity to participate in global off-roading events.
The qualifiers in Delhi saw Mr. Manav Arya and Mr. Shantanu Grover emerge as winners in the stock and modified categories, respectively. In Chandigarh, Mr. Gurmeet Virdi and Mr. Mankaran Singh Bhambra secured victory in the stock and modified categories, respectively. The championship will now move to Shillong, followed by Hyderabad, Vagamon, Bengaluru, and Mumbai & Pune, with the finale set to take place in Goa.
