Renault Kwid Reaches The 1.30 Lakh Sales Milestone

Renault India recently announced that more than 1,30,000 units of the Kwid have been sold so far. According to the company, the growing acceptance of the Kwid by first time buyers is reflective of the model being an aspirational product, offering a value proposition. Together with first time buyers, the Kwid has been instrumental in Renault witnessing new consumer trends across urban and rural India. Renault launched the Kwid with a 0.8L engine and later, the 1.0L MT and Easy R- AMT variants were introduced.

With a strong product offensive strategy led by the Kwid, Renault has been undertaking measures across various business dimensions, ranging from product, network expansion, pioneering customer oriented activities as well as marketing initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction.

After the Kwid 1.0L MT and AMT launches last year, Renault has a lot of plans for the Kwid to keep pace with customer preferences. The Kwid was one of the best-selling cars in 2016 for Renault and will continue to be a key volume driver for the company to achieve its aggressive growth plans in India.
