For those looking to buy a practical and comfortable go anywhere 4-wheel drive vehicle, the Renault Duster AWD makes a strong case for itself. The French manufacturer will finally launch the vehicle on the 24th of September, just before the festive season kicks off in our country. Available only in front wheel drive variants until now, the AWD variant looks visibly similar to the regular Duster, except for the smoked headlamps, alloy wheels with gun metal finish and ‘AWD’ decals along the sides.

Powering the new Renault Duster AWD is the same 1.5-litre diesel motor that powers the front wheel drive variant. It develops identical power figures of 110PS along with 248Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. On the inside, the Duster gets a new centre console, a better looking instrument cluster, a sporty wheel, grey upholstery with red inserts and the beige on the dashboard is now replaced by grey. Equipment wise, the SUV gets satellite navigation, cruise control, a gear shift indicator and a real time fuel consumption display.Safety features include ABS, EBD, Brake Assist and twin front airbags. Expect the car to be priced a lakh and a few more thousands than the top of the line RXZ two wheel drive Duster.
