Pulsar fans can now rejoice because if reports are to be believed, Bajaj is said to be working on the 200 NS once again. Spy images suggest that the motorcycle, once the flagship model of the brand, has been spotted testing on the outskirts of Pune, Maharashtra. Reports add that one of the test mules was spotted with a single channel ABS.

As seen in the images, one can notice two test mules of the 200 NS with one of them sporting a shade of yellow while the second motorcycle carries a white paintjob. One of these models is said to have the single channel ABS featured on the front wheel. This ABS feature is said to have been borrowed from the RS200. Reports further added that the test mule duo did not feature a Fuel Injection (FI) system as some of us were expecting.

Currently, the 200 NS is not available in the local market although the motorcycle is exported to international markets such as Indonesia. It is believed that Bajaj had temporarily ceased the production of the 200 NS last year to make way for the production of the RS 200 as well as the AS twins. The move came at a time when the 200 NS was a successful product and the discontinuation of the model led to a wave of disappointment among fans and potential customers.

Powering the 200 NS is a 199.5cc liquid cooled engine that produces a power output of 23.5 PS at 9500 rpm while the peak torque of 18.3 Nm comes up at 8000 rpm. This engine sends power to the rear wheel with the help of a six speed transmission. It is unclear whether Bajaj will re-launch the 200 NS in the Indian market or whether the test mule spied was only for the international markets. If launched in India, expect the 200 NS to come with ABS as an optional feature.
