- Yamaha YZF-R25 250cc sportsbike to look much like the one shown in the above digital rendering
Only a day ago, we reported about MotoGP champions Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo presenting the recently unveiled Yamaha R25 concept bike at the annual dealer’s meet in Indonesia. (CLICK HERE to read our earlier story)
While we have already seen a handful of Yamaha R25 Concept pics, the lead image above is actually a computerized rendering of the upcoming production spec Yamaha YZF-R25 250cc motorcycle. The latest rendering comes from the good folks at Motocross Magazine and has been shared on the Yamaha R25 Facebook page
As shown by the above rendering, the upcoming Yamaha YZF-R25 motorcycle would look really similar to the R25 Concept and is based on the assumption that Yamaha would simply add a pair of headlights, rear view mirrors, indicators and a new set of graphics to distinguish the production model from the design study. Talking about the concept model, the same looks much like Vale’s M1 MotoGP contender!

The Yamaha YZF-R25 will be powered by a 250cc parallel twin engine that is most likely to have a max power of 35PS. Quite obviously, R25’s engine will be fuel injected and will come mated to a six speed manual gearbox. As revealed earlier, the upcoming Yamaha YZF-R25 will be built on a new tubular frame, instead of having a R15-like steel spars deal.
In the fast growing Indian performance bike market, the upcoming Yamaha YZF-R25 will rival the mighty Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the stylish Hyosung GT250R. There are high chances that the upcoming Yamaha YZF-R25 will be locally produce in India and this will be done to keep the production costs low and selling price ultra competitive.
