Remember the TVS Graphite scooter concept? Showcased back at the 2014 Auto Expo, the Graphite was an uniquely styled scooter with an offset, ‘winking’ headlamp and sharp bodywork that was said to be inspired from from stealth fighter jets. No engine specifications were provided for the Graphite scooter, apart from the fact that it happened to be country’s first scooter to feature an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) with shift paddles on the handlebars.

Till date, there has been no official confirmation from TVS on the Graphite, but with the new, aggressively priced  Aprilia SR150 creating a niche for itself as far as performance scooters in India are considered, TVS better sit up and take notice. Indian Autos Blog has already taken notice of the situation, and created this render of how a production-spec TVS Graphite could look like.

The styling does look promising, and so do the imaginary specifications – a petal disc brake up front aided by a dual channel ABS setup, 30 mm front telescopic forks, a gas charged mono shock at the rear, an engine immobiliser with smart electronic key, and an active LED console. As for the engine, let’s assume that it gets the heart of the Apache RTR 160, just to give it to the likes of the Aprilia SR150.
