We reported in detail when the Fiat Avventura was revealed at the Auto Expo 2014 early last month. Now, a Fiat Avventura has been spotted testing on Indian roads and here are some Fiat Avventura images and details. These Fiat Avventura images come from our friends at Motorbash and reveal that the production spec model won’t look exactly like the model we saw at the Expo.
The test mule can be seen running on larger 16 inch wheels shod with wider tyres. Also, the hump at the rear also reveals Avventura’s rear-mounted spare wheel. Also, while the test mule doesn’t seem to sport them. the Avventura has good chances of coming with body cladding and roof-rails. The refreshed LED taillamps that the car will get will be shared with the upcoming Punto facelift. Also, the ground clearance of the test mule seems to be more than that of the show car at Auto Expo.
The Fiat Avventura India launch will happen towards the end of this year and it is basically the same ‘B-CUV’ that Fiat talked about back when it unveiling its roadmap in December last year. As per Fiat, B-CUV stands for ‘Contemporary Urban Vehicle’ and unlike what many might think, it has nothing to do with ‘Crossover Utility Vehicle’. Powering the Fiat Avventura would be the same 1.3 litres Multijet diesel and 1.4 litre normally aspirated FIRE petrol engines that power the Punto.
The Fiat Avventura would be seen battling it out against the Volkswagen Cross Polo, Toyota Etios Cross and the likes. Are you looking forward to the launch of the Avventura? Do let us know by penning your thoughts in the comments section below.
