Porsche India has added the latest variant in the Panamera range to its product lineup in India. The Panamera Diesel Edition has been launched in the subcontinent with a 3.0 litre (2967cc) V6 turbo diesel with peak power output of 250bhp @ 3800 rpm and peak torque rated at 550 Nm @ a lo 1750 rpm. Transmission duties are take care of by a 7-speed automatic unit with an AWD system for maximum traction. The car has been priced at INR 1.04 crore for the standard version ex-showroom Maharashtra.
Differentiating the new diesel powered Panamera from its petrol powered siblings are high-gloss black trim strips on the side windows and door handlesin the same colour in variants equipped with the optional Porsche Entry & Drive. Standard equipment included massive 19-inch alloy wheels in Panamera Turbo II design, with wheels hub covers with a coloured Porsche crest. The car also gets a pair of bi-xenon headlights along with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).
Other features on the new variant include bi-colour part-leather upholstery in Black-Luxor Beige with the Porsche crest embossed on all head rests. The car also gets a Sport Design steering wheel and door sill guards with “Edition” lettering. The standard Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a seven-inch touchscreen monitor combines audio, navigation and communication features. An outstanding sound experience is ensured by the 585-watt Bose Surround Sound System with 14 speakers.
The Panamera Diesel also comes with additional standard features, such as Adaptive Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Park Assist (front and rear), including reversing camera, electric slide and tilt sun roof, soft close doors, 4-zone climate control and Power Steering Plus, all ensuring maximum comfort levels for driver and passengers alike.
