Piaggio Vespa VX 125 new variant to be launched this month

Vespa-VX-125

There is no denying that the Piaggio Vespa LX125 automatic scooter grabbed a lot of attention when it was first launched in the fast developing Indian scooter market. However, it won’t be too wrong to say that the retro styled scooter has failed to transform all that interest into sales. Much of this can be attributed to the high sticker price of the scoot. The Indian division of Italian bike maker did resort to price cuts towards the beginning of this year but unfortunately, sales haven’t yet picked up.

While the Piaggio Vespa LX125 is now only a little dearer than other automatic scooters in its segments, it misses out on features like a front disc brake.

It seems like Piaggio India has now taken notice of it and will hence launch a new variant of the Vespa in near future. Christened as the Vespa VX 125, the new scooter will come equipped with more equipment and will come with new paint options. While the new variant will be priced a bit higher than the Vespa LX 125, it would benefit from features such as front disc brake unit and tubeless tyres. The new Vespa VX will be launched towards the end of this month and sales should commence early next month. It will be interesting to see if the new variant, equipped with more features, would be able to endow the tasty looking scooter with better sales performance.

Stay tuned to Motoroids for more on upcoming Piaggio Vespa VX 125.
