Photo Feature: New Mahindra Duro Dx

We recently attended the media launch event of Mahindra Duro Dx (based on the defunct Kinetic Nova). Here are a few pics explaining the key features of the bike that is squarely aimed at Honda Activa and Suzuki Access 125.

Duro’s speedo console gets friendly easy to read fonts.

The underseat storage compartment can easily hold a half face helmet. Note- No light in the compartment. Opportunity missed.

The storage compartment can hold a full face helmet too. And there still remains room for some knick-knacks.

The Duro Dx gets a conventional Choke. We were expecting an Auto choke on this variant. Opportunity missed, here again !

Front storage compartment comes standard.

No illuminated key hole. Opportunity missed. Now, we are getting tired of repeating it.

No external access to fuel filler cap. Unlike Rodeo, where you get a front filler cap, here the user has to open the seat compartment everytime he/she visits a petrol station. Aaarrrgh!! Tired of saying about the opportunities that Mahindra missed.

The Duro Dx gets Telescopic forks in the Dx avatar. Well done Mahindra. Kudos.

The Duro Dx gets different decals on the exteriors.

Rubberized grips are a nice touch.

Vent like structures on side (near footboard) to safeguard the body from getting scratched/deformed in event of crash.

The bike looks the best in the White and Black color options.
