Petronas TVS Racing has concluded the 2023 Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) with multiple successes. The team has secured its fifth consecutive Team Championship title in the Pro-Stock 301-400 cc category, its thirteenth Team Championship title in the 165 cc category, and its first-ever electric one-make championship title with the Apache RTE.
KY Ahamed clinches Rider Champion title in 165 cc category
KY Ahamed finished third in race one of the Pro-Stock 301-400 cc category, but he clinched the Rider Champion title in the 165 cc category. This is a significant achievement for Ahamed and the Petronas TVS Racing team.
Petronas TVS Racing sets new lap & top speed records
Earlier this year, Petronas TVS Racing introduced the first-ever electric one-make championship with the Apache RTE. The team has now set a new lap record time of 1:47 minutes and a new top speed record of 199 kmph in this category. These are impressive achievements that demonstrate the potential of electric racing motorcycles.
Sarthak Chavan clinches electric one-make championship
Sarthak Chavan secured first position in race two of the 301-400 cc category and also clinched the electric one-make championship. Ex-Moto3 racer Hiroki Ono came in second, and Chiranth V secured third position in the electric one-make championship.
All in all, Petronas TVS Racing has had a successful 2023 INMRC season, winning multiple Team and Rider Championship titles. The team has also made significant progress in electric racing, setting new lap records and top speed records. These achievements are a testament to the team’s hard work and dedication.
