Over 10,000 units of Suzuki Gixxer sold in October 2015, overall sales rise by 15%

Suzuki Gixxer 155 and the Gixxer SF have performed remarkably well this festive season with over 10,000 units of the motorcycle were sold in the month of October 2015. Moreover, the two-wheeler manufacturer registered a steady 15% sequential increase in their October 2015 sales figures as compared to September 2015. Overall, Suzuki Motorcycle sold 35,936 units in October 2015, including exports, as opposed to 31,240 units in September 2015.

Suzuki Gixxer Dual Tone - 1

A new dual-tone paint wrapped Suzuki Gixxer 155 – Blue/White and Black/Red – was unveiled just before the festive season, at a slight premium over the standard model which may have been one of the contributing factor for the jump in sales.

Masayoshi Ito, Managing Director, SMIPL, says that the Japanese two-wheeler maker is pleased with the sales of its Gixxer series that crossed 10,000 units in market sales in October 2015 which, the company says, is a testimony to its appeal amongst discerning young customers and also a sign of positive reception to the overall product portfolio in the market.

The festive season is still in full swing and Suzuki is likely to perform better in the month of November 2015. Stay tuned for more sales results.
