Okinawa Autotech, one of India’s prominent electric-two-wheeler manufacturers, has announced its new custom hand-painting service for its electric scooter buyers in India. This service will be offered on current models and future launches as well.
The company through a press release stated that the scooters will be hand-painted by professional artists with premium quality of colors based on the custom theme selected by the buyer. Every theme will be designed by hand to highlight the particular details on the scooter.
About the Custom Design
To further give a personalized touch to the design, one can also get his or her initials painted on the e-scooter. One can pick from the array of themes like Crystal, Chameleon, Superhero etc. These custom hand-painted themes would cost an additional ₹15,000 over the retail price of the e-scooter. As for the colours, there are seven colours to choose from apart from the official palette. This is for the Lite scooter. The Praise Pro, Praise and iPraise+ scooters will have 11 colours on offer. The base Ridge+, R30, Ridge 30 and Ridge have got more than 14 colours on offer. From the look of it, the matte paint schemes look nice.

Okinawa is providing this service through their newly designed website. One can visit the Okinawa website and select the model and the theme. Once the scooter is ready, it is delivered through the local dealership. The company is known for back to back product launches depending on the customers’ demand. The new service is in line with the efforts of the brand to provide customers with a product of their choice and requirement. Okinawa, which is also the first company to receive FAME 2 approval in electric two wheeler segment, aims to fuel the localization factor in the electric vehicle industry in India through its efforts and cutting edge technology.
Recently, Okinawa announced that it will launch a new electric motorcycle, which will be completely made in India. The electric motorcycle will be called Oki100, will be completely made in India, apart from the battery cells, and will be launched in the third quarter of the current financial year. So, apart from the battery cells, all other components of the upcoming Oki100 electric motorcycle will be manufactured in India. The Oki100 is expected to be launched towards the end of 2020.
