Renault India launched the Kwid 1.0-L SCe that offers a more powerful option to customers looking to purchase cars in the compact hatchback segment. The model has been launched at an introductory price of INR 22,000 more than the 0.8L variant. This variant of the Kwid will be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that is tuned to produce a maximum power output of 68 PS @5500 RPM and maximum torque of 91Nm @ 4250 RPM.
The Kwid 1.0-L SCe comes equipped with a 7 inch touchscreen Media Nav system, digital instrument cluster, remote keyless entry with central locking, one-touch lane change indicator, and front fog lamps. Also on offer is bluetooth connectivity, satellite navigation – 2D/3D view, iPhone and iPod operations – Charging through USB, Audio content display and navigation of iPod through MediaNAV, USB and Aux-in. The Renault Kwid already comes with the option of the driver airbag. With the introduction of the model, the company now offers pro-sense seat belt pre-tensioners with load limiters.
