Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) today announced its aggressive business direction for FY’2015-16. The key highlights are:
- Honda Two Wheelers announces product blitzkrieg of 15 new models including 7 brand new models in 2015.
- Unveils 5 new products powered by Honda Eco Technology (HET).
- The new 3rd generation Activa has been launched; priced at Rs.48852 (Ex-showroom, Delhi)
- The CB Shine gets fresh styling and colors.
- 3 new 2015 editions – Dream Yuga , Dream Neo and Dio (new colours & graphics).
Shedding light on India’s importance and Honda’s game-plan for this crucial market, Mr. Keita Muramatsu, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. The new Activa 3G launched today takes the Activa legacy further with new generation styling while new CB Shine boasts of refreshed styling with new features likerefined HET engine and CBS (Optional). Honda Activa 3G
Launched in 2001, the Activa started a revolution of sorts in the Indian scooter market place. Now the 3rd iteration is here, quite imaginatively called the Activa 3G. Subtly re-styled –there’s the mildly re-sculpted side panels, new winkers, 3D emblem and progressive meter coupled with a new, contemporary tail section. With a wallet friendly fuel efficiency of 60kmpl*, the Activa 3G is powered by the 110cc Honda engine with Honda Eco Technology (HET)( * mileage based on internal Honda test ride mode that is close to actual city riding conditions).
Features include a maintenance free battery, Combined Braking System (CBS), full metal body, tubeless tyres and key lock shutter-will. The Activa 3G comes in 5 colours – Trance blue metallic (NEW), Lusty red metallic (NEW), Geny grey metallic, Black and Pearl amazing white and is priced at Rs.48852 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). 2015 Honda CB Shine
The CB Shine – the world’s largest selling Honda’s motorcycle and India’s largest selling 125cc bike – in it’s 2015 avatar gets new graphics, re-designed side panels and tank, a new visor, a new tail light, and newly designed alloy wheels. Mechanically, the HET engine continues unchanged, apart from the addition of a Combi-Breaking System (CBS). The new CB Shine will be available in 4 colours (Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Maple Brown Metallic and Imperial Red Metallic), with deliveries starting from March 2015.
3 refreshed 2015 edition of models
The Dream Yuga 2015 gets mildly refreshed looks which include new stickers and graphics on the front cowl, side panel and fuel tank. The engine includes a new Honda red colored logo.The 2015 Dream Yuga will come in 3 colours (Black, Black with Heavy Grey Metallic, Black with Candy Glory Red) with dispatches starting end of February, 2015.
The Dream Neo 2015 too gets a new dose of style. In addition to the new graphics on tank, side cowl and stickers on side panel and the premium red Honda logo, the NEW lockable side cowl will bring more practical utility for daily commuting. Dream Neo will be available in Black with Violet Stripes, Black with Red Stripes towards end of February’15.

In automatic scooter segment, Honda’s original moto-scooter Dio will be offered with new stickers, side panel graphics. It will be available in new dual tone coloroptions which are Jazzy Blue Metallic, Sports Red, Candy Palm Green and Black by end of March’2015.
With only 6 of the 15 new models disclosed, Honda aficionados can look forward to a very exciting year from Honda in 2015!
