Bajaj surprised the visitors of the Auto Expo 2014 by unveiling the SS400 and the CS400 and we will see these powerful Pulsar variants coming out from Bajaj’s stable very soon. Commenting from the sidelines of the Pulsar AS200/AS150 launch, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto said, “We would like to see the 400 to debut as a power cruiser as we had shown in the last Auto Expo… also stated to be launched at some point in this financial year. So when that happens the Pulsar 400 would be the next flagship of the Pulsar brand.”

The Bajaj Pulsar CS400 (Cruiser Sport) would be placed as a Power Cruiser in the two-wheeler market. The above photograph suggests that the motorcycle will benefit from Bajaj’s triple spark-plug motor. The motorcycle is expected to receive a single cylinder liquid cooled motor with a displacement of 373.4cc (similar to 390 Duke) while the power output figure is likely to hover around 40PS mark.

The model that was displayed at the 2014 Auto Expo revealed that Bajaj will be placing the CS400 in the premium motorcycle segment. The motorcycle will receive features such as USD Telescopic suspension at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear, an eight piece LED headlamp, steel braided brake lines and an all digital two-piece instrument cluster. The instrument cluster on the motorcycle is divided in two units with speedometer and gear indicator display located on the fuel tank and a conventionally placed digital tachometer, odometer, fuel indicator and tell-tale indicators.

There will not be any direct competitor to this motorcycle which should help Bajaj clock good sales. What do you think of the Pulsar CS400? Share your views with us through the comments section below.
