2014 Nissan Juke NISMO

Nissan has unveiled the 2014 NISMO (Nissan’s tuning/racing arm) Juke, the 370Z and a track edition of the GT-R at the Chicago Motor Show.

The Juke, in addition to the NISMO brand-accented interiors, tweaked aerodynamic design and revised suspension increments a 9 bhp raise over the earlier version. The 1.6 litre 4 cylinder engine now makes 197 bhp compared to 188 bhp of the regular Juke. The mini-crossover would be available in two two configurations – front-wheel drive with a 6-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive with sport-tuned Xtronic CVT. Nissan claims the new Juke offers 37 percent more downforce than the previous model.

The NISMO 370Z, apart from a tuned suspension and light weight alloy wheels- is showered with styling elements while still retaining the 350 bhp 3.7 litre V6 motor. A new dark grey shade, lower side sills, new mirrors and a NISMO rear spoiler differentiates the NISMO version from the regular model.

2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition

And finally the track edition GT-R, though still retaining the 545 bhp mark from its twin turbo 3.8L V6- the limited edition of the GT-R gets track-bred enhancements in form of revised suspension, carbon fibre front splitters with brake cooling ducts. The front seats have been enhanced for more track-oriented driving with the the rear seats eliminated aiding weight reduction (who uses the rear seats on the track anyways!). Only 150 units of the track-edition GT-R would be available for sale.
