Nissan names Lavanya Wadgaonkar as Communications head in India

Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) announced the appointment of Dr. Lavanya Wadgaonkar as head, corporate communications, Nissan India, as the company continues its business growth in the country.

Dr. Lavanya will report to Takayuki Ishida, managing director & chief executive officer, Nissan India, and Matthew de la Haye, Vice President Communications, Africa, Middle East, India and Europe.

“We are happy to welcome Lavanya to Nissan. We are sure that her wealth of communications experience will help us achieve our growth targets in India. India is an important engine of growth in the region, and Lavanya’s communications leadership will help us tell our story of expansion and investment,” said Mr. Ishida.

Prior to joining Nissan, Dr. Lavanya has worked as general manager and head of public affairs and corporate marketing for Eaton India, a diversified power management company. In her role, she was responsible for building the Eaton brand across multiple markets in India.
