The open-roof performance car segment will soon see the arrival of the next-generation BMW Z4, The new 2018 BMW Z4 is set to debut in concept form at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California on August 17, 2017.
Ahead of its debut, the Bavarian manufacturer has released a teaser image on its official Facebook page which reveals a few details, including the revised fascia and the muscular design of the upcoming open-top model. The teaser image reveals the new styled kidney grille, upswept headlight with a sharper design and muscular body. Unlike the previous model’s hardtop roof, the next-generation Z4 will feature a soft-top. BMW has teamed up with Toyota for the development of the new chassis for the 2018 Z4. The new platform will also underpin the next gen Toyota Supra.
Mechanically, the next gen Z4 is expected to arrive in three variants. The top-spec model will receive a turbocharged 3.0-litre straight six while the other two will come equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-litre inline-four engine. The next-gen model will reportedly receive a manual transmission. We won’t have to wait long for the final figures.
