Next-Gen Bajaj Pulsar To Reportedly Get BS-VI Compliant, 4-Valve, Fuel Injected Engines

With the rise in competition in the 150-180cc segment, we expect to see a major overhaul to the Bajaj Pulsar range. The next generation Bajaj Pulsar range (UG6) is still some time away but the folks at Autocar India have got their hands on some interesting details. The motoring portal reports that the next generation Bajaj Pulsar range is currently under development and it will be a major leap forward from the current generation models. The next gen models will feature a 4-valve, fuel injected engine that will be BS-VI compliant.

The report also adds that while the motorcycle will retain the popular Pulsar silhouette, a full LED headlight, a redesigned tail and a monoshock rear suspension. To comply to the new norms, the motorcycle will come equipped with ABS, although it will most likely be a single-channel unit – something that we’ve already seen on the Bajaj Pulsar RS200.

Will the range see additions (or subtraction) in the future? The report adds that the the Pulsar 180 might get axed when the new range enters the market as it is the ‘least relevant Pulsar, as of today’.

The new range is reportedly in early stages of development and is expected to reach the market by the end of 2019. There are no official details available at the moment. We’d keep you posted with all the updates as and when they’re available. Stay tuned.
