While the Italians are busy making curvy, beautifully designed masterpieces that can be adored for hours, Mercedes is making another rugged SUV that is designed to sustain the worst of surfaces the human race has ever driven upon. If you were awestruck by the Mercedes G63 6X6, meet the more practical, toned down but equally maniac SUV from the German car maker, the G500 4×4². Mercedes has officially revealed the first image of the G500 4×4² and is already set as cover page image be some of our colleagues!
Now although the official power figures and technical specifications are not announced by Mercedes, the G500 is likely to miss on the power doses from Mercedes’ AMG division. The SUV is expected to be loaded with a 5.5-litre V8 naturally aspirated motor that is expected to deliver more than 400 ponies worth of power and about 530Nm of torque. The ground clearance is expected to be similar to the G63 6X6 while 22-inch wheels equipped with 325/55 off-road tires are expected to do the job of taking the SUV across challenging terrains.
