New Hyundai Genesis Slows You Down When It Spots A Speed Camera

When it comes to equipment offered in a car, Hyundai has always been generous. The company has offered many segment first features on its cars in the Indian market. According to recent reports, it has emerged that the new Hyundai Genesis will come with tech which will automatically slow down if you’re above the limit as you approach a speed camera.

In the new Genesis, GPS technology is used so the system knows when it is approaching a speed camera. “It knows there is a speed camera there, it knows where the speed camera is and it will adopt the correct speed,” a Hyundai spokesman said.

The Genesis – which goes on sale in the UK this summer – is a luxury saloon car that Hyundai will be pitting against the likes of saloons from German biggies like BMW and Mercedes. When competing with the usual luxury players, Hyundai has to provide innovative technology in order to stand out. The new Genesis has also been equipped with automatic braking technology to help avoid a collision, and uses this to alter the car’s speed to avoid speeding tickets.

The car alerts the driver 800 metres ahead of a speed camera, so the driver has plenty of time to safely bring the car down to the posted limit.

Well, with cars going more automated, we feel people in future would miss out on real driving pleasures. But here, this car can save you from the hassle of being caught by the speed camera and also save your money which would go as a fine. What do you think of this ?
