New Bajaj Pulsar 180 spied; now comes equipped with a rear disc brake

Barely two days ago we had brought you a few spy images of the upcoming 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 220 that will is scheduled to be launched soon. As we wait for official confirmation from Bajaj Auto for the launch details, another sibling of the Pulsar 220 has made it out from the dark, this time it’s the new Pulsar 180.

A video uploaded through by YouTube user Dino’s Vault reveals the new Pulsar 180 in all its glory. What’s new you ask? Well, for starters, the model comes equipped with a 230 mm disc brake at the rear as opposed to the conventional drum brake seen in the outgoing model. The addition seems to a move in preparation for the new safety norms that will come into effect soon. The disc brake will help the manufacturer to equip the model with ABS.

Another highlight is that the new Pulsar 180 range can now be had with a mono-tone paintjob instead of the dual-tone paintjob on the previous generation Pulsar 180. The model comes with similar decals as seen on the new 2017 Pulsar 220.  A few other changes include a blue back-lit display for the instrument cluster, new decals on the rims, a matte black finish for the handlebar and the headlamp mask.

The most significant change lies with the engine as it is now said to comply with the BS-IV emission norms. Engine specifications are still unknown although it is likely to remain the same as seen on the previous generation of the model. More details on the new Bajaj Pulsar 180 will emerge as the launch comes closer. Stay tuned!
