Audi’s Q3 has been one of those SUVs that has quietly built a strong place in the luxury car market. It is compact enough for city use but still gives buyers the look and feel expected from a premium SUV. Now, the Q3 is getting a major update for India. Audi has started teasing the third generation model, giving us a first look at what the new SUV will bring.
Audi Q3 India launch
The new Q3 made its global debut in June 2025. The India launch is expected between October and December 2026, with an estimated starting price of around Rs 60 lakh, ex showroom.
Audi India has released two teasers so far. The messages used in the teasers read “Designed to keep you curious. Almost Here” and “We’ve shown enough. For now. Arriving Soon”.
The new SUV will replace the second generation Q3 that has been sold in India for around four years.
What the new Q3 looks like
The design is quite different from the outgoing SUV. Audi has given the Q3 a larger grille with a 2D logo and a split lighting setup.
Major highlights –
- LED daytime running lights sit above the main headlights
- Gloss black details add a sporty touch
- Body coloured wheel arches give the side a cleaner look
- Wheel sizes globally range from 17 to 20 inches
- India spec model could get 18 inch wheels
- The rear gets split tail lamps and a connected light bar
- An illuminated Audi logo is also expected
- A thicker D pillar adds more visual bulk
The profile has softer curves and fewer of the sharp cuts seen on the older model. The rear bumper also has a sportier design.

Cabin and features
The cabin gets a big technology update. A 12.8 inch touchscreen sits in the centre of the dashboard, joined by an 11.9 inch digital driver display. The layout is more modern and driver focused.
Expected equipment includes:
- Powered and ventilated front seats
- Adjustable under thigh support
- Panoramic sunroof
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- 360 degree camera
- Premium audio system
- Level 2 ADAS
- Three spoke steering wheel
The India model could get an all black cabin with red highlights and silver trim.

Engine and gearbox
Audi is expected to use the familiar 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine. It produces 204hp and 320Nm and is likely to work with a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox. Power will go to all four wheels through Audi’s Quattro AWD system.
Rivals and price
The Q3 will continue to sit against SUVs such as the Mercedes Benz GLA and BMW X1. With the new generation model, the expected Rs 60 lakh price tag will put it higher than the current Q3.
